How to Choose
Understand the Fabric
The Noah Kahan Premium Hoodie is made from 80% cotton, 20% polyester with a 320gsm fleece and brushed interior. That 320gsm is key - it's thick, substantial, and doesn't shrink as much as lighter cotton hoodies. The brushed interior adds softness but also means the hoodie will feel snugger initially because the fleece takes up internal space. After a few wears, it loosens up slightly.
Measure Yourself
Grab a measuring tape (or use a string and ruler). Here's what to measure:
- Chest: Under your armpits, around the fullest part of your chest and shoulder blades. Keep the tape snug but not tight.
- Length: From the highest point of your shoulder (where the hood meets the body) down to where you want the hem. Usually just below the waist.
- Sleeve: From the center back of your neck, across your shoulder, and down to your wrist bone. Slight bend in elbow is fine.
Size Chart
| Size | Chest (inches) | Length (inches) | Sleeve (inches) |
| S | 34-36 | 27 | 33.5 |
| M | 38-40 | 28 | 34.5 |
| L | 42-44 | 29 | 35.5 |
| XL | 46-48 | 30 | 36.5 |
| 2XL | 50-52 | 31 | 37.5 |
Note: These are garment measurements, not body measurements. If your chest is 38 inches, a size M should work. If you're between sizes, size up for a relaxed fit or down for a trim look.
Fit Preference
- Slim fit: Stick to your actual chest measurement or size down if you want a cropped, modern look. Be aware the 320gsm fleece won't drape as loosely.
- Regular fit: Choose the size matching your chest. This gives you room to move without being baggy.
- Oversized/relaxed: Size up at least one, maybe two. The Premium Hoodie is already a standard fit, so going to XL from L gives you that slouchy vibe. Many fans on social media say they go one size up for layering.
Consider Layering
If you plan to wear this hoodie over a t-shirt (like the Noah Kahan Classic T-Shirt at $24.99) or a long-sleeve, stick with your normal size. If you want to layer under a jacket, go with your true size - the thick fleece fills out jackets nicely. If you're layering over a hoodie? Unlikely, but if you're that committed, size up.
Shrinkage Reality
Cotton/poly blends sometimes shrink a bit, especially if you hot wash and dry. But 320gsm fleece is dense, so shrinkage is minimal - maybe a half inch in length and width. To be safe, if you're between sizes, go up. Or plan to wash cold and air dry. The Noah Kahan Premium Hoodie holds its shape well because of the polyester reinforcement.
